Beaches
Playa Tortuga
Just 5-minute walk away from the hotel, you can find yourself at the mouth of the biggest river in Costa Rica flowing into Pacific Ocean. Playa tortuga is the most private beach in the area. We can take you to Isla Garza right over the river, where you can find 17 kilometers of untouched coastline, banana- and coconut palm trees, watermelons growing on the ground and beautiful waves to ride with.
Playa Ventanas
The beach is clean, safe and easily accessible which makes it perfect for everyone. You can drive to the beach and leave your car in a guarded parking lot or take a 15-minute walk from the hotel. You can hear the bass thumping through the caves when the waves kick in. Playa Ventanas is literally a paradise beach.
Playa Piñuela
Playa Piñuela offers a spectacular view with cliffs climbing out of the water, native fishermen by the shore and a dangerous point break. This beach is not recommended for surfing but it's definitely a place to check out.
Playa Ballena
Ballena is a small bay which only works on a low tide with a big swell. Otherwise its a great beach for a family to just relax and enjoy the view.
Playa Uvita
Playa Uvita features shallow beach break and a point break on the left of the beach.
Playa Hermosa
The most favorite beach around. It's very accessible, residing right by Costanera Sur. You can drive your car right to the beach. Locals like to celebrate all their major holidays at Hermosa. The beach is also highly valued amongst surfers. Lots of lefts and rights plus a point break called Punta Achiote which is located right side in the rocks. When the beachbreak is closed out make sure you go and check this point out.
Punta Dominical
Punta Dominical is definitely the best spot for advanced surfers. The point break has constant big waves and tubes because the mouth of the river catches most of the swells. The surfing experience can easily be compared with Playa Hermosa at Jaco.
Playa Dominical
Playa Dominical is put together of a fantastic beach and surf village. There is always good waves. Though it's recommended for advanced surfers to ride there, you can always polish your skills at Playa Dominical. It is the only beach with professional lifeguards on the spot.
